“It doesn’t pay to be greedy and rob God”
In this Letter to the Editor of the Pocono Record, the Rev. Marilyn Smith cites the experiences of Abraham and Jacob to argue for tithing even in tough times:

1. Abraham only tithed pagan spoils of war.
2. He only tithed once.
3. He did not tithe anything from his personal property.
4. He kept nothing.
5. He gave the 90% to the king of Sodom.
Now what is it that we are suppossed to cpy from Abrfaham?
NT giving is: freewill, generous, sacrificial, joyful, not by commandment or percentage and motivated by love for God and lost souls. That is sufficient for the Church. 2 Cor 8:12-15
