Neighbor in Jesus’ ‘hood
Israeli archaeologists this holiday season discovered a home from the early Roman period, sometime between the first century B.C. and 1 A.D. It was discovered adjacent to the Church of the Anunciation in Nazareth.
Yardena Alexander from the Israel Antiquities Authority tells Fox News:
“We know Nazareth was a very small Jewish village, even a hamlet, at the time of Jesus.”
To give a sense of the size, Alexander says there weren’t more than 50 houses in the village at that time.
